Fall Virtual Programs for COVID-cautious kids

After a summer of connection, creativity, and community across our virtual programs and summer camp, we're bringing virtual programs back for the fall!

Boston Private Tutors built these programs specifically for COVID-cautious families. Founded by MIT engineer and educator, Stephanie Schmit, our 2026 Virtual Programs are designed to give kids a place to connect, create, try new things, and feel like they truly belong.

Stephanie brings years of experience teaching STEM, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving; Boston Private Tutors is known for thoughtful, high-quality teaching that helps students grow in confidence and independence. And our instructors for these programs are also COVID-Cautious.

“I want COVID-cautious kids to have access to the same things every kid deserves: friendship, community, great teachers, and opportunities to explore what excites them. Our classes are designed to give kids a place where precautions are simply part of the environment, not something that sets them apart. From there, they can focus on learning, creating, laughing, and connecting with each other.”

-Stephanie Schmit (Director, Boston Private Tutors)

If your family is tired of having to choose between safety and connection, we have a place for your kids in our Virtual Programs.

What people are saying:

My child appreciated getting to see and know other Coviding kids. I appreciated them being able to see that there are others out there that take it seriously, since we don't see local friends / family that do.

—Parent

The setup is great and the instructor has been phenomenal! They encourage participation gently, which makes everyone feel included and allows for different ways for kids to engage (e.g. verbal or written responses).

—Parent

It made me feel like this was a place where I wasn't the odd one out. I felt very comfortable and safe sharing my thoughts in this space.
