Mask Policy

  • High-filtration masks (N95, KN95, KF94, or elastomeric respirators) are required at all times indoors and outdoors, except while eating or drinking in the designated area. Masks must filter both inhaled and exhaled air (e.g., N95s with exhalation valves are not permitted). Students and staff may remove masks only when outside and distanced. Lunch breaks will take place in small, consistent groups outdoors. If unavailable, (e.g. rain) masks may be removed during designated breaks in a separate, ventilated area.

  • Masks must fully cover the nose and mouth and fit snugly to form a proper seal. Staff will provide reminders if adjustments are needed.

  • (For the robotics program) Safety goggles must be worn in the shop when tools are in use, and cannot interfere with mask fit.

Air Quality

  • We will run HEPA air purifiers in all indoor spaces used for instruction and breaks.

  • Windows and doors will be opened when feasible to maximize ventilation with a cross breeze.

Illness Policy

  • To protect the health of all participants, especially those who are medically vulnerable, students and staff must notify us immediately and stay home if they are experiencing any viral symptoms (includes both respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms) that are not part of their normal baseline due to a chronic condition.

  • This includes any new or worsening symptoms that could indicate a contagious illness. Families are expected to use their best judgment and err on the side of caution. If symptoms arise during camp, the student will be separated and must be picked up promptly.

  • If a household member of a student becomes ill or tests positive, please notify us immediately and keep the student home.

If your child has a documented medical reason they cannot wear a mask, please contact us to discuss possible accommodations.
