Camp Mission

Build things. Create boldly. Collaborate with peers who share your values. Practice leadership, teamwork, and self-advocacy skills that build real confidence. Every part of this summer camp is designed to balance hands-on learning, creative expression, and meaningful social connection: campers aren't just staying busy, they're growing, connecting, and having fun.

    • Students ages ~6–11 spend half their day in supervised free play and social time. The rest of their day is split between hands-on STEM activities like building and experiments, and creative pursuits such as theater, art, and storytelling—giving them a balanced mix of play, creativity, and learning.

    • Students ages ~11–15 get more choice and focus. They spend half their day in a primary track they choose—Build (STEM) or Be Bold (Arts)—and use the remaining time to explore the other track, socialize, play games, and stay active throughout the day.

    • Students ages 16–18 can apply to be Peer Leaders, where they'll mentor younger students, support activities and projects, and develop their leadership and communication skills. (Link to Application)

  • Each day begins with group games and collaborative activities designed to help campers feel comfortable and quickly connect with one another. Through these experiences, students practice essential skills like sharing ideas, listening, taking initiative, and advocating for their needs and boundaries. They learn to navigate disagreements, support their peers, and build genuine friendships through shared challenges and successes.

For many students, one of the most meaningful parts of the week is simply being around peers who share similar values—especially those who mask and take COVID precautions seriously.

  • Campers in the "Build" STEM track dive into hands-on projects like rubber band cars, marshmallow catapults, and structural challenges, along with messy science experiments like Diet Coke and Mentos.

They experiment, test, and refine their ideas—learning how small changes affect performance and how to keep improving their design. Campers learn there isn't one "right answer" but how to think through problems, collaborate with others, and keep going when something doesn't work the first time.

  • In the "Be Bold" creative arts, theater, and film track, campers explore creative ideas, perform, and express themselves with confidence.

Whether they're acting out scenes, creating visual art through painting and collage, filming short projects, or jumping into improv and theater games, students learn to think creatively, collaborate, and take risks in a supportive environment. They share ideas, cheer on their peers, and grow more comfortable being seen and heard. Camp is a place where trying new things is celebrated and confidence grows naturally.

  • The camp is designed for ages 6–15, with different structures for elementary and middle school students. Teens ages 16–18 may also be able to participate as Peer Leaders through a separate application process. (Click here to Apply)

  • On the Build side, campers may do projects like rubber band cars, marshmallow catapults, structural challenges, and science experiments. On the Be Bold side, they may do theater, improv, art, collage, storytelling, and short filmed projects.

  • Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Families are invited to a Friday showcase at 3:00 PM, either in person or via Zoom. Drop off must happen between 9:30-10a and pickup must happen between 4 and 4:30. There are no extended hours available at this time.

  • We require high-filtration masks such as N95, KN95, KF94, or elastomeric respirators. We also use HEPA air purifiers in indoor spaces, maximize ventilation when possible, and handle meals in designated safer settings, typically outdoors. (Click here for full Health and Safety Covid Policies)

  • For younger campers, the day is split between supervised free play/social time, STEM activities, and arts/theater/storytelling. Older campers choose a primary focus, either Build (the STEM track) or Be Bold (the arts track), while still getting time for the other track plus social time, games, and movement throughout the day.

  • If your child has new viral symptoms, or if someone in your household becomes ill or tests positive, we ask that you keep your child home and notify us right away. If a child becomes sick during camp, they will need to be picked up promptly.

  • We announce the general region first, and final venues are confirmed at least 30 days before the program starts.
